Our Story
Early Foundations
Aly’s floral design business — founded and operated a successful floral company in San Clemente, CA, specializing in high-end weddings and events.
Leigh Lincoln’s advertising career — built over a decade of senior management experience at major ad agencies in Los Angeles, developing national brand campaigns for retailers and recording artists.
The Idea Is Born
While Aly is living abroad in Saudi Arabia, she begins drafting a business plan to merge creativity and design into a lifestyle brand.
Aly sends a heartfelt proposal (dubbed the “Jerry Maguire memo”) to Leigh, inviting her to co-found a design business focused on meaningful, approachable interiors. Within 24 hours, Leigh responds “I’m all in.” December 2015, around 3:30 AM Arabian Standard Time: Pure Salt is officially born.
Pure Salt Officially Founded
Aly Morford and Leigh Lincoln launch Pure Salt Interiors as a full-service design studio in Newport Beach, California.
The studio’s philosophy centers on “relaxed luxury” — natural, layered, textural, and family-focused design. Their mission: to create spaces that help people live deeply and meaningfully through thoughtful, beautiful design.
Open Showroom
Pure Salt gains traction as a leading California design studio, known for its clean, organic, and functional aesthetic. The duo builds a celebrity clientele and a growing social media presence, cultivating a highly engaged community.
The business expands beyond residential interiors, establishing a design studio and showroom presence in Newport Beach.
Launch of Pure Salt Shoppe
The team launches the Pure Salt Shoppe, both online and in-showroom, offering curated and proprietary home products.
The Shoppe features collaborations with global artisans and reflects Pure Salt’s design mantra — that home is where life’s best moments unfold. Product offerings include furniture, textiles, rugs, lighting, art, vintage finds, and faux botanicals, all curated to bring effortless style to everyday living.
National Recognition and Expansion
Pure Salt evolves into a national lifestyle brand with a growing reputation for beautiful, functional design and operational excellence. The company receives consistent recognition from media and industry peers for its elevated aesthetic and evolved business model.
The founders continue to refine their proprietary, transparent three-phase design process, making interior design accessible and stress-free for a wide range of clients.
Growth & Global Reach
The brand enters a new growth phase with international design projects, brand collaborations, and a trade program. Expands into hospitality design and other lifestyle sectors. The Newport Beach showroom continues to serve as an experiential hub for clients and the design community.
