Relaxed Newport Family Home

Set in a quiet Newport neighborhood, the home of Allie and Isaac Rochell is a classic Southern California abode full of texture, unique details, and of course, plenty of indoor/outdoor living. It’s a charm-filled retreat that is equally ideal for entertaining as it is for enjoying a relaxing afternoon by the coast.

01 The Great Room

The great room is the heart of the home, with an organic modern kitchen (featuring skylight and pass through window), connected living room with plaster fireplace, and dining space that invites you both indoors and out.

In the living room, a large corner sectional allows for maximum seating and creates a cozy zone to lounge and gather. Plenty of pillows, pleated drapes, and layered rugs in a natural palette keep this living room homey and soft, while monochromatic decor in the built-ins and layered styling on the coffee table keeps the eye moving about the room.

02 Kitchen

With natural light pouring in from the pass through window and overhead skylight, the kitchen is the definition of warm and inviting. A mix of natural materials—like the linen pendants, rattan counter stools, honed stone countertops, and plaster range hood—make this kitchen feel both cozy and homey, while bringing an elevated airiness to the great room as a whole, setting the tone for the entire home.

03 Dining Room

Connected to the kitchen and living room, and open to the outdoors, the dining space in the Rochell Retreat is a relaxed yet dedicated zone for gathering and communing. With cozy materials and accents that transport you to a serene scene, this dining room is simple and sophisticated from every angle.

04 Primary Suite

The primary suite is especially relaxed and serene with French doors leading outside, an attached bath crafted with natural finishes, and a vibe that is undeniably at ease and unbothered—much like Allie & Isaac themselves.

05 Guest Bathroom

One word to describe the guest bath: moody. This space is rich and outfitted with charming details—the arched shower, the striking marble, the linen pendant and framed sketches—everything makes a statement.

06 Outdoors

Outdoors you’ll find various lounge and entertaining zones where Allie & Isaac can enjoy the beautiful coastal weather with family and friends. A pool with teak deck, a fireplace seating area, plus a grill and dining space make this smaller yard hyper functional and fun!
