Airy Family Home with Personal Touches

The Guido family wanted this home to feel both stylish and comfortable. They had worked with an architect to build the perfect house for them, and we had the exciting task of furnishing and finishing their home to make it feel beautifully livable and homey. Now, this is a space this family will love and grow into for many years to come.

01 Entry

“With lots of open living space, it was important for us to create defined zones that simultaneously felt curated and stylish, but still maximized the flow between the spaces. The result is a casual, elevated, airy living hub that the whole family can enjoy. And with skylights everywhere, this entire home is bathed in the most gorgeous natural light we’ve ever seen!”

02 Kitchen

“The kitchen has such a cool layout that allows for open sight lines and a breezy flow from this space into the rest of the open floor plan. And the combination of woods and whites brings such dimension to the space without feeling heavy, playing up the airy feel of the home.”

03 Dining Nook

“Right off the kitchen is the cutest banquette. The oval table in this breakfast nook is perfect for this oblong corner, giving enough room for this family of five to sit together while still feeling cozy and comfy.”

04 Dining Room

“This gorgeous oak dining table is the feature piece in this space. Its rich-toned wood warms up the room and complements the other textured elements paired alongside it, and its size allows the entire family, and a few friends, to gather and enjoy the ambiance and one another’s company.”

05 Living Room

“In the living room, the custom fireplace is flanked by arched shelving that displays some of this family’s favorite pieces mixed with decor that suits this cozy, relaxed space. And the mixing of materials with the leather, linen, and velvet upholstery add a rich layer of warmth to this room.”

06 Primary Suite

“The master suit feels like a retreat, with its fireplace and seating area, it is the perfect spot for this couple to recharge and relax away from all the daily distractions.”

“Talk about luxurious, this master bathroom is the epitome of an in-home spa. With lots of amenities, it was important to find ways to make this space still feel casual and comfy for this couple, so we brought in more warm woods, fresh greens, and simple styling for a relaxed and elevated feel.”

07 Secondary Bedrooms

“Tucked away in its own corner of the home, the guest suite is so bright and breezy with lots of creamy linens anchored with dark accents, it truly feels like a coastal getaway.”

“All three girls’ rooms are styled after their distinct personalities. We played with girly, sporty, and beachy design, but each space feels equally as pretty and comfy so that they all love spending time in their unique retreats.”

08 Outdoors

“We love the backyard for its comfortable outdoor living areas—the full kitchen feels like a private restaurant where the family loves to gather and grill for Sunday games and family get-togethers. And the pool is the girls' favorite—they love to throw open the cantina doors in the evenings and watch movies while they swim.”

09 Casita

“Part of the purpose of this remodel was to bring the grandparents closer to home—literally! The Casita was designed to be a stand-alone home on the property so that Thea’s parents could make the move from New York to be closer to the family while still having their private space. We loved creating this mini home for them, and made sure to add plenty of personal touches to ensure the space feels homey and special.”
