Set into the cliff above Emerald Bay sits our aptly named Emerald Bay Project. With ocean views from the second floor, this quiet home feels like a tucked-away coastal cottage, centered around the private backyard and made for indoor/outdoor living.
01 The Great Room
The heart of the home, the great room connects the living space to the kitchen and the kitchen to the outdoors. This open floor plan allows for easy movement between each zone, perfect for entertaining and casual family gathering.
A cozy retreat, the living area of the home features an oversize sectional for family gathering and entertaining. Balanced with large windows leading to the outdoors on one wall and a built-in mantle on another, this room showcases a desire for indoor/outdoor living and integration of natural materials seamlessly into the design. This is a space meant for relaxed living—a mix of curated materials, comfortable furnishings, and unique touches that bring this coastal abode to life.
02 Kitchen
Where beauty meets ultimate function, the kitchen of our Emerald Bay Project is a study in soft color and the integration of nature. The cabinetry in this kitchen displays a mix of natural woods and carefully selects paint—along the back walls, the bottom cabinets are finished in a cool-toned green while the uppers are in a favorite creamy neutral. The contrast between the two is subtle yet dynamic, drawing the eye upward while adding a grounding interest to the space. The island is a natural white oak, featuring charming details in the legs.
The countertop is a Taj Mahal Quartzite in a honed finish. It carries from the island, through the back wall countertops, and into the backsplash. An elevated design feature: the integrated sink. Crafted from the same material as the countertops, the sink is a seamlessly constructed element, enhancing its utility and elevating its design.
03 Outdoors
On the other side of the pass-through kitchen window, sits the outdoor kitchen and dining area—the ideal spot for alfresco evenings and poolside meals.
With proximity to the coast, outdoor living and entertaining is an essential element of this home and the lifestyle of the family who lives here. The outdoor living spaces were designed to wrap around the outdoor space with access from all angles.
04 Primary Suite
A unique feature of this home: two primary suites, one on the ground floor and one above. This more masculine space—with sleek, organic lines, paneled ceiling, and rich-toned linens—opens not the backyard with views of the pool.
The adjoining primary bath continues that masculine sensibility with striking marble in the shower and vanity, balanced with natural white oak in the cabinetry.
05 Dining Room
Both cozy and refined, the dining space is a cross between a nook and a formal entertaining area. With an upholstered banquette and surrounding builtins, the space is seamlessly tucked away, yet the oversized table allows for plenty of seating for entertaining. With plush accents and mixed materials in the hardware and lighting, this dining space is curated and offers comfort for gathering for hours at a time.
06 Girls Room
A little girl's dream room, featuring bunk beds, a slide, and tons of precious accents that make this space feel sweet and playful. Designed to grow with her as she does, this room brings whimsy and function together with modular furnishings and timeless textiles. Even her private bathroom features sweet details like scalloped lighting, dainty wallpaper, and playful tile—perfect for a little girl to grow with through the years.
07 Upstairs Suite
Upstairs, the second primary suite sits with sweeping views of Emerald Bay—an oasis perched at the top of the cliff. The room includes a built-in wet bar, attached bath, and private balcony. Meant to suit the flexible lifestyle of this young family, this upstairs suite is a complete living space, designed to offer privacy and rest.
